We Need Fosterers and Volunteers with a passion to help us
We are desperately looking for caring and responsible volunteers and fosterers to provide a safe temporary home for cats and kittens coming into our care. We get messages DAILY of cats that need to be taken off the streets that we have to turn away due to having zero space. All people involved in the running of the charity already have multiple cats so we’re extending our plea to you.
Cat Fosterer Requirements
You do not need a dedicated room and whole house fostering is definitely possible!
The foster cat/kittens must be kept secure when entering or leaving your home to ensure they cannot escape.
Windows must not be left open where the cat or kittens could escape. Cats will squeeze out of the tiniest of gaps.
They must not have access to any other pets in the household - this is due to infection control. Our cats/kittens often have a poor immune system when they come in and they will catch anything!
All food, litter and necessary equipment will be provided.
You must be able to provide daily care, attention and a safe, loving environment.
You must inform us immediately if the cat or kittens show any signs of illness or become unwell.
You must be able to take the cat or kitten to a vet appointment when necessary.
You may need to administer medication if required.
Fostering can make a huge difference to a cat or kitten in need and helps give them the best chance of finding their forever home.
If you think you could offer a safe and loving temporary home, we’d love to hear from you! See less
